SELENE'S SWEET CAKES

Sardinian born Selene came to Brighton in 2018 after completing a pastry course back home in Italy. Having always worked in restaurants and bakeries, Selene pursued her passion for baking as pastry chef and head baker before starting Selene's Sweet Cakes in 2021.
 

"I've always liked to bake, Italian patisserie mostly. I like using fresh and natural ingredients, lots of cream and custard based pastries, of course everything is 100% handmade."

With the talent and passion to create bespoke vegan menus including cakes, pastries, savoury and sweet afternoon teas, Selene is the perfect choice to add a touch of Italian 'va va voom' to any occasion.  

 

"I definitely love decorating and the last finishing touches, I started Selene's Sweet Cakes because I always wanted to have my own bakery one day."

Selene can also serve from her VW Van for any events that would like a vintage twist to their catering menu!

Voted Sussex's best restaurant in 2023, the award winning restaurant Nostos has been serving the flavours of home to Brighton locals for many a year and have a range of services to bring delight to any event.

 

 The story of Nostos started 20 years ago in the Greek city of Thessaloniki, one of the culinary capitals of Greece, with a diverse and multicultural food scene.

That was the meeting point of Alex, Nostos's experienced head chef, and owner Kyriakos.

 

Both being passionate about authentic, delicious food, it was not long before the idea of opening a restaurant together developed. With a dedication to serving authentic, wholesome food, as it should be and honouring their culinary heritage, Nostos has taken Brighton by storm.

 

Prepared on site daily, guaranteeing freshness, mouth-watering taste, Nostos has a clear commitment to the best quality and local  ingredients.

To keep their concept fresh and contemporary, they continue to get inspiration from both the rich Greek culinary heritage and the high quality locally available ingredients in Sussex.
